About Me

In a vast and enchanting library, filled with wonders and tales untold, there lies a book. Its unassuming cover conceals a story waiting to unfold. The worn pages, witnesses to an extraordinary odyssey, beckon with a silent invitation. But only a few have been touched by ink, leaving the tale incomplete. Yet, it is the edges of each chapter that captivate, a mesmerizing mosaic of vibrant hues, infused with the author’s awe and experiences. Each edge, a stroke of brilliance, represents a unique chapter, symbolizing a life spanning 11 countries in a mere 13 years.

With a sense of anticipation, you unfold the cover, greeted by author’s name  etched on the inner surface—Tanya Y. Anand. For, within these pages, dear reader, resides the chronicles of my life.

Tennis

Tennis, like a faithful companion, has been my constant amidst the ever-changing landscape. The courts witnessed my growth, my triumphs, and my defeats. The net became a metaphorical bridge connecting the different chapters of my life. With each serve, each rally, I found not only a game but a reflection of life itself—filled with challenges, victories, and moments that demand our utmost determination.

So, as you delve into these pages, know that tennis is more than just a sport—it’s a thread that runs through the fabric of my narrative, shaping who I am, and infusing each chapter with its own unique rhythm. Because tennis is a journey that’s a blend of ink and sweat, where stories and tennis balls are served with equal fervor.

Photography

Just as ink flows from the metaphorical pen of my mind to this page, my camera’s lens captures the unspoken stories of creatures in the wild. With photography recognized by National Geographic,  my lens becomes a bridge between the wild and the human heart. With each click, I venture into untamed realms, where nature’s dramas play out in whispers and roars. The lens becomes my translator, revealing tales of survival, beauty, and raw instinct. In the dance of predators and prey, the flutter of wings, and the majesty of untamed landscapes, I find a harmony that resonates with my own journey.

Yet, my photography isn’t just a visual feast—it’s a form of activism. Through these images, I strive to shed light on the fragility of ecosystems and the species that call them home. Just as the mosaic of my life’s chapters unfolds, so too do these moments of untamed grace, each one a brushstroke that paints a picture of the world’s enchantment and its vulnerability. So, step into this wilderness of words and images, where stories roam free, the camera’s shutter captures the heartbeat of the wild, and activism finds its visual voice.

It’s a place where infinite experiences have shaped my early years. Nestled within the embrace of the Early Learning Center – City School, I discovered the Reggio Emilia system, a philosophy that kindles curiosity through hands-on projects and fearless experimentation. Under the mentorship of Giovanni Piazza, a kindred spirit, I embarked on a journey that would sow the seeds of my conservation efforts.

An 8-year-old me, armed with enthusiasm and curiosity, embarking on a mission to infuse a thriving city with more green. In the heart of bustling Bangkok, we envisioned a three-story self-watering green wall—a living monument that would breathe life into the urban landscape. My days were filled with trial and error, as I explored ways to overcome the challenges that a metropolis posed. In a place where concrete and steel dominate, I managed to restore a touch of green, a dash of nature’s vibrancy. The year wasn’t just about shaping a physical structure—it was about nurturing the idea that small actions, even by an 8-year-old, can ripple into meaningful change.
